CZ Biom is active in the national and international arena. CZ Biom gathers many companies and organizations engaged among others in phytoeneregy, biogas production, composting, biomass production and biomass combustion.
CZ Biom has become a member of several international organizations. CZ Biom has been partner on several European projects funded by the European Commission from the Framework Programme 6 (FP6) and is at the moment active in the preparation of projects funded under the Framework Programme 7 (FP7).

Guide book to renewable energy
Compo-Ball
Project from the Research for SME Associations which combines aproaches of industry and research instituitons. The objective of the project is to develop better monitoring possibilities for processes which take part during composting.
Biopros
Production of energy crops – Funded by the European Commission within the Framework Programme 6 - "Solutions for the safe application of wastewater and sludge for high efficient biomass production in Short-Rotation-Plantations on the utilization of fertilizing effects of sewage waters for the production of short rotation coppice."
Biomass Action Plan
Czech Biomass Action Plan following the recommendation in EU COM(2005)628 will be submitted for hearing by the government of Czech Republic by Ministry of Agriculture. Action plan is being prepared by Czech Biomass Association and contains: analysis of the biomass market in Czech Republic, estimation of biomass potential in the Czech Republic, technical analysis, analysis of the environmental effects, and detailed classification of renewable energy sources (RES) - kinds, yields, and experience. Creating several opportunity studies for different kinds of biomass with diverse output parameters and creating database of technology.
Jihoodpad
Funded by the European Commission within the Operational Program Human Resources Development (OPHRD) - Capacity building for the support of fulfilling the waste management plan of municipalities and regions with the participation of public in the Regions of Plzeň and South-Bohemia. The aims of the projects are the education and cooperation in household waste. The project is exceptional by connecting the experts from non-governmental environmental and business field with regional municipalities or villages. Due to the cooperation the quality of the information services for public should be increased and the public should get involved in the regional improvement of household waste management.
